Valentin Serov: Anniversary of his death

Yesterday was the anniversary of famous Russian portraitist Valentin Serov (1865-1911).

His portraits became known for exhibiting juxtaposition of light and shadow, quickly becoming masterpieces (DavidBerryArt.com details Serov's artistic skill with lighting).
